We have developed a protocol for efficient [U^-13C, ¹⁵N]labeled protein production in the highly competent E. coli strain, KRX, using Silantes CN OD2 medium. This procedure can facilitate protein analysis by NMR spectroscopy and other methodologies that require ¹³C and ¹⁵N protein labeling.
